In An Instant:

I am a free bird as of Thursday! Didn't exactly ended it with a bang, but I went for lunch at Hong Lim Complex and it was pretty amazing. Walked around, and found ourselves in Uniqlo (as usual ) and had some good ol' traditional dessert that was yumsyums. So yes, that was quite awesome.

In anyhoos, on the 15th November, Friday, was the launch of INSTANT LAB by Impossible Project Singapore aka Peek! I've never attended such an event because as you would have realised, my life reluctantly revolves around school. So the timing of this event fitted in perfectly. Basically, Instant Lab is a camera device that exposes pictures in your iPhone and transfers it onto an instant film, pretty damn cool yo. Talk about INSTANT gratification!

Here's an example, Izuan took a photo of me at Jo's wedding, and through the Instant Lab, we exposed it onto one of The Impossible Project's (TIP) films:

yeah, the photo was taken in october, but I was all geared up for Movember ;)

How cool is that? I fell in love with the Instant Lab a few months back while doing the collaterals for it during my internship period with Peek!. We all felt that this blurred the lines of instant film photography and phonenography - and that, by my standards, IS REALLY VERY AWESOME.

For the entire event, Peek! had a live exhibition for 3 famous local instagrammers. These instagrammers have a following of few 10ks and counting on Instagram!! And it was ultimately a really interesting experience to meet the people who have been filling your Instagram timeline with more than just pretty pictures. :)

The three of them:

Aik Beng Chia (ABC): @aikbengchia
Bryan Van Der Beek: @bryanvanderbeek
Ivan Kuek: @phonenomenon

Follow them for amazing photos that are aesthetically beautiful and emotive at the same time.

AND THIS, MY DEAR, IS IT:

JENGJENGJENGGGG. The amazing machine of the century - INSTANT LAB!

It's collapsible +1
It exposes your iphone snaps onto a tangible piece of instant film: +1
It's hassle free: +1
It's INSTANT LAB! +10

The event was a success and it was such an eye opener. Most of the people who attended were adults, so it was quite interesting to see adult adults snapping pictures of themselves, laughing and snacking on old school biscuits. And I liked what I saw. :)

So when everyone left, there were still some remaining films that we took advantage of. Hahaha.

YAY! Damn love, I cannot.

Thank you Peek! for the Instant Lab launch, and as well as letting me part of this amazing movement, and also thank you The Impossible Project for allowing the wonders of Polaroid to be continued and share with my generation, and the future generations to come!

Happily Ever After (I)

12th October 2013

Blessed marriage of Jo & Jon! :) A pity I had to miss the morning church service because I really wanted to hear her agree with the Priest when he says "Till thy kingdom come." Peekjoke. Haha

Pellow titaaaa got married!!

So glad to have known Jo, and then Jon this year through my internship. What are the odds of knowing both the bride and the groom right? While the thought of an internship seems pretty horrible, the fact that I interned at Peek! felt like a solo cruise trip to nowhere that ended with me meeting a whole new bunch of awesome people. They're definitely one huge reason as to why my 2013 has been amazing.
Snaps from my phone because the theme of the wedding was "black tie" and I decided to go ahead with a really small gold clutch! So I didn't manage to bring my x10 (which I'm regretting still, till date). I am actually quite proud of myself for surviving the entire night with heels of a decent height, a small gold clutch plus some lacy dress that I managed to get online. Kudos to online shopping!

I think I'm evolving to a female. On the way to Peek! for some cool carpooling action, I was just thinking about how extreme I am. A few hours prior to wearing the dress, I was in shorts, a FREE singlet, rugby boots, make up free with my hair tied in the messiest way possible, and then in a few hours, I squeezed into a feminine dress, got into a pair of heels with my hair let down. Do you think these are the signs of me being a schizo?

Hello Darrell! :)

"There will be a part two in the presidential suite, PART TWO. you all must come," says the bride.

It was such an amazing night to the extent that even I felt like getting married. But let's just not go there.

To infinity & beyond!
