"You're not alone"

Funny how this sentence used to bring about pleasant connotations, but recently I realised that it can sound pretty depressing too.

Thoughts aside, I've been busy likahellz and I'm glad it's the start of the weekend for tutorial week which means, I can breathe for awhile right now. I just planned out my entire week, and I think I need to purchase an oxygen tank in order to just breath normally. I feel so guilty for perpetually saying "I'm so tired" whenever people ask about me. I mean, it did hit a new all time low yesterday because while playing touch yesterday - Ryan asked how long did I sleep for (in the middle of the game) and I replied with a miserable number of three point five. Even in touch rugby, there are six touches and I had only three point five hours of sleep the night before. Well done bro.

But despite the busy moments, I managed to have some snippets of fun! So thank you to those who made me laugh till I cried, went to runs/festivals with me, and ate ice cream while lepak-ing by the bay. It was pretty awesome! V(^_^)V

I promise to not say the word tired anymoarrrrr

So, meet the superheroes of my life in the past few weeks:

If I could, I would write a poem dedicated to Salmon & Veg. If I ever start my company, I'll name it just that.

Despite having like a MILLION presentations to complete, I managed to meet the both of them to plan some Boracay madness for the end of the hectic year. Apparently when you think you're having it hard with school and can't wait to start work, these working bunch is disliking almost every part of it. I guess I'm very stuck, but still very lucky to have the both of them in mai lyfezzzz. Thank you both for tahaning me as I always back out from our sessions! :') <3

Tattoo yo. #thuglife. HAHAHAHA. No la, skin accessories from Dottinghill. :) It's a girl carrying a huge slice of watermelon.

If you actually know me, you would have probably known of my obsession towards dinosaurs. So imagine my happiness when I trotted into a cafe for some brainstorming session on a Friday, and chanced upon these trinkets gracing the ledge of the doors and windows. I wanted to steal them, but I didn't, so all's cool.

And my really happening Saturday - 17th August, where I finally entered the gates of this amazing place called library@esplanade. Goodbye to torrenting of videos, hello DVDs. And like that's not exciting enough, I went to the infamous Color Run with the McColl sisters! :) Time to transform to a unicorn and poop rainbows!

Cleaning up was horrible though. =/

The following week, was ze best weekend of my life.

  • Celebrated Chew's birthday on Friday Night @MBS,
  • Touch/Chilling by the bay/Eating icesqueam/LIUSHABAOOO/Museum Tour/NightFest on the entire Saturday,
  • Went for Peek! Workshop on emulsion lift @ ChyeSengHuat, SKATING and Prawning in the evening on Sunday!!!

#Dreamweekend.

Happy Birthday Chewballz.

Some interactive thingy in National Museum. I can almost hear him say "your bag no space ah? can you just put your shoebag in your bag?" HAHAHA.

This. Is.

CHI-JI-MES!
After which, everything started becoming double the beezee and I died.

THIS sums up my entire absence. Apparently this is what happens when I stop having too much of 'me-time' and more people in my life! My face is getting rounder because I've been pretty happy, so I don't know whether to continue feeling happy and go for a rounder outlook, or should I just be sad, but skinnier.

I think I'll try for happy and fit.

Hope the first three quarters of your 2013 has been pretty awesome too :)

Most Ardently.

THIS, is the story behind my email address. Because I fell in love with this character so hard,  to the extent that I decided to name myself after him - somesort of a one-sided forced marriage, just that he doesn't know, or rather, doesn't exist.

Mindlessness aside, the reason why Pride and Prejudice remains one of my most loved classic novels of all time (besides the fact that I had to study it for 3 years..) is mainly because of this wayang relationship between Darcy and Elizabeth. By the 3rd time I read the book, and every single time I come across their dialogues, I feel like screaming in their face 'JUST SAY IT YOU SINGLETON,' of course, it didn't happen for that would have been a little imprudent of yours truly, and even more so if this sudden explosion happened in the library.

And this scene, when Darcy FINALLY said it, I melted - like an ice cream potong on a hot sunny weather. I literally did. I could feel my innards sinking down, becoming this hot mess at the bottom of my stomach and this 'awwww' feeling overwhelmed me and all I wanted to do was just cuddle and die.

But then again, it's also these type of movies that create this entire hopeless romantic ideals within one's head - ideals that are probably quite unattainable by anybody, just yet. I have to admit that the best scenes in my life, always occur in my head. In my mind, I can be the best cinematographer, collating all of the images and short clips I've seen in my entire phase of 22 years, and combining them into this short film - which I can confidently say, is the best scene of my life, at that point of time. I can think of the most perfect, epic scenes to happen at a specific time, and I'll just laugh it off at the end of it, simply because it'll never happen. You know what is this like? It's like the entire notion of Forever, where it is widely used and believed, but never ever gonna come true. But hey, forever indeed doesn't exist in reality. They exist in books and theories and in my mind.

Referencing the above gif, have you ever met such a person who confessed in such a way? Sure, if this movie encouraged you to be open and upfront with your feelings, and you're totally gonna follow word for word when you confess. It's totally cool, and really quite impressive I'd say. But this entire novel consists mainly of what Austen was thinking about, and hoping for, isn't it? Just like how some girls expect guys to ask them out, go on rich, expensive dinners and drive a posh convertible, and all the what have you's. Austen just wants a guy that will be upfront with her, and eventually get married to someone that loves her just as much as she does - not because of either one's wealth, or family reputation. If such an issue on wealth and physical attributes mattered since the Victorian era, when will people stop being so superficial?

On an entirely different note, I met up my twin after a long separation and the first thing she said to me was "when I see you, I feel like I'm not alone. Because we both don't look or behave like 22," and till date, I still don't know if it's a good or bad thing. I'll take the former because I love her so. We went to the Peranakan Museum on a good saturday and as usual, became a tad crazy.

Annddd ending this lengthy one with an epic moment where facebook couldn't even differentiate our faces. #we'rejustmeanttobetogether.

My Silver Lining.

It spells part of his name! So cool right? I know teeheee.

I went for the Andy Warhol Exhibition and it was AMAZING! I wish I lived there though. George and I found a lot of potential furnitures/wallpapers for homes - even though we had a mini dispute whether one of the works was actually named properly. Andy and him thinks it's "Pink Cows on Yellow Background', but it's Chartreuse background! CHARTREUSE.

Anyway the color dispute started all the way from artfriend when I was selecting copic markers for my mushroom art, because to him, brown is brown and yellow is just yellow. #wheregotlikethatone!? Tsk.

And these are a couple of his works that I fell in love with. Just a few, from the internet.

I totally want this in my room.

We had free glasses too. Warhol's face now sticks above me as I'm typing. May he watch over me and ensure that my life can be as bright and interesting as his works. I'll get him some Tomato Soup soon.

There was a photobooth placed in the exhibition as well, but the effects are nowhere near Warhol's! The people who went in before us warned us about it, but we decided to just try it out still. :( If only they had the real deal man. My life would have been perfect.

Then, we decided to be spontaneous and rewatch The Dark Knight Rises together, even though we watched it separately before. Damn siao! This is probably my first time rewatching a movie in the theatres, and my first movie of the year. I'm such a homebody it scares me (and other friends when I tell them that too). I love Alfred btw.

Just right outside the theatre, I found the love of my life.. #favpicofthelifetime

I want the ginormous one! But George made a valid point by stating that minions are supposed to be small. So I guess it's good looking at them through the glass because I don't think I have use for the mini ones. Big ones are sooo huggable.

Meh, and it was so hard waking up to the next day because it was gonna be school the whole day - which was today. I was almost late for school and died in typo class, alongside with HuiYu, Tiffany and Fayth. Also, it was one of those days where Kopi O is considered to be water and had literally no effect on me. So, hello reality with breakfast.

So I'm guessing I won't be having that much fun any time soon. Since it's Y2S1 and it's only the first week and we have assignments already. But still I'm thankful for the time I had during the holidays, and that school has started. I just need something to fill up my life and so far, deadlines and adobe software seems to be the only viable choice.

And then I don't know how to end such an entry, no, not even gonna place a fullstop
