... because it's the leap year, it's the 29th Feb! To think I was looking forward to 1st March, even though nothing exciting is happening on that day except my online tests.

I was just randomly chatting with my Mom about life (dreaded topic with parents because there are so many things that we don't see eye to eye with) and she was simply re-emphasizing on the importance of this chinese saying "hardships first, and enjoyment later." While it makes perfect sense to mug hard and mug good for your tests (read: hardship), and reap the fruits of that test with flying colors, we kinda miss out on the part that what goes around comes around / the world is round / a circle of life.

So this entire saying of going through hardships before getting to enjoy life, contains a loophole, or rather, is a loophole itself because it's a neverending process and the only enjoyment I can connect with right now, is when people lay you to rest, for good, eternally, which doesn't seem so bad afterall.
