& This is how we do it

Yep, that was a lyric from one of Backstreet Boy's old song!

I realised that this space is slowly becoming into an archive of good memories shared by either with a certain group of crazy people in my life, or just some really unneeded thoughts in my head. Either way, it sounds not too shabby because I guess in a few years to come, I'm probably gonna be laughing at myself when I read through this site.

So hello there, future Me. I've prepared myself pretty well.

That aside, I cannot believe how jinxed I was because right after the previous post, where I was congratulating myself for enduring the horrible weeks before, and finally reaching tutorial week where a week of self love would be bestowed upon me, I had to attend Spikes Asia Festival 2013 - which is technically a seminar/exhibition where the big guys in the advertising and design industry come together and share their opinions and thoughts about current trends in the much said industry. It's an honor, no doubt. I enjoyed it very much! It was quite an eye opener because many works were exhibited and I'm really thankful that they seem to be working towards the humanity aspect of advertising - which is really cool and to die for in my books. I mean, this is the direction that I really wanna work towards to!

Anyway, this is the first draft of our schedule that we had to reluctantly plan because we had SOOOOO much things to complete! We had to film two short TVCs, a few project meetings, 6 modules of test to study for, along with Spikes Asia. It was so cray!

For the first week, I totally died. Huiyu and I came up with this ingenious idea for our Jury President, where the planning totally killed the both of us. Being the semi drama queens we are, we both felt that we could totally get a diploma in engineering, specifically in rotating devices.

So, from knowing absolutely nothing, we came up with this little terror. And now, our brains are filled with specs of DC motors, wiring, fixing of cables and lights. Well, yeah, we technically became a utility person.

In anyhoos, we met our Jury President and he's such a cool guy that got Huiyu and I quite smittened with. He looks NOTHING like the picture given to us! So much better in real life please. Let's just say we both considered working in Japan after meeting him, and a few other cool Japanese dudes!

Mandatory artist-ique shot!

Android was there too, and they had Samsung tabs that allows you to customise your own tote bags, around their booth! So I made this:

I know. I don't know what to say either. Let's just say this is the byproduct of extreme tiredness + hungry + cold + imissmybed. Hahahaha. But I'd totally dress like it though!!

It was Mid-Autumn on one of the Thursdays! 19th September, because it's my Ah Soy birthday <3. I miss the times when we were younger and we would hold lanterns and walk around feeling very happy because we get to play with this amazing thing called fire. Muahaha. But lantern walking didn't really made it for me, you would most probably catch me making a bonfire somewhere! And till date, you would most probably see me starting fires during BBQs. *proudly flips hair*

Check out the moon anyway!

I reckon it's my first time admiring the Moon during Mid Autumn! It was after Thursday's Touch session, and nobody wanted to stay around a lil longer to eat some mooncakes and look at the Magnificent Moon.. except Ryan and I. So we roamed around, looking at tourists, and looking for cheap fooooood, but we failed.

A few weeks ago, I planned to head down to Chinese Garden for some Moon Gazing alongside with dinosaur sculptures, so I was blabbering about how amazing it is to have dinosaurs during Mid-Autumn, and when we both realised we had to pay to get in... he said "might as well watch Jurassic Park in 3D"

#Absolutewin. #Handsdown. #Hemakessense #sighpie

Marina Bay > Fullerton > Esplanade >Merlion > Hello Magnificent Moon!

On a totally unrelated note, I found a crescent in my cereal-yogurt-fruit mix on one of those days:)

Huiyu got Rinnah & I a job during the F1 weekend, at one of the restaurants who was opening itself up as a clubbing space - but for atas people. That was pretty crazy. It was a whole new level of decadence, a decade of decadence, and the lifestyle that I don't want to be part of. The word decadence kept repeating itself in my head, and Rinnah wasn't helping by shouting that in my ears! It was good money though, and I heard on normal non-f1 days, they actually serve really nice Italian food!

In school, we went for an exhibition and I thought that this picture was a perfect representation of my feelings for that few weeks - I felt like jumping off a cliff. Maybe not now... but a digital rendering of Huiyu and I by the edge of a cliff was pretty dope. Made me felt like I did jump.

NLB had this HANDS: Gift of A Generation project thing where you can contribute your share of memories you had in Singapore in the past! Ryan was the one who told me about this thing, because there was once when I was randomly telling him about this project I had in mind, and he told me about this! It's super interesting as you read through other people's memory.

You can write your memory and scan it in! They'll send you a copy if you include your email address and then you can proceed to do other random therapeutic stuff like drawing in a small digital screen which has the ability to transfer it onto this HUGE table screen! COOL STUFFZ kid!

After many failed attempts that I blame my small hands for, I finally caught the dinosaur that he drew in! V(^_^)V I tried to catch an ice cream but obviously I failed, need you ask. tsk. He caught a rainbow and after that, we drew in stuff as well! Interactive Idea yo.

Then we did the most spontaneous and hilarious thing ever. We walked past the Padang, and saw that Bieber was having a concert! And we crashed it, for awhile. HAHAHA. This is me, with a group of poor kids watching Bieber through the scaffoldings. So hipsta I cannot take it. hahahaha

Damn funny. I think if we stayed throughout, Bieber's gonna have two more Beliebers! Both of us were basically humming his songs while walking and he tried to rap - which totally cracked me up because we didn't know the lyrics! So I was literally bending over in laughter every few steps I took.

I'm so glad I have a bunch of crazy ass people in my life. I guess it matters if your friends are suicidal or optimistic because it'll definitely rub off on you! I lament alot, but seriously, you have no idea how grateful I am for having every single one of them in my life.

Mad love. I hope all of us stay together, forever.

(my first time hoping on forever!)
