Baby it's cold outside

I hope the holidays have been amazing for all of you out there because I've definitely been enjoying mine - besides the fact that I had someone to install the new Singtel Fibre Optics thingy, where I was hoping for a fuss free internet surfing experience. Apparently not. My home internet has been down for the past few days and they can't get it fixed till Monday. I've been relying alot on my phone for random surfing/social media access, but honestly I miss punching my tiny fingers on this colorful keyboard of mine. And I'm also very thankful that the internet is down during the holidays and not during my submission period, I would have cried my eyes out.

Nonetheless, these past few days without the internet proper was surprisingly good. It was like as if God planned for the failure of technology in my life and gave me a new breeze of legit life. Since the internet failure, I've been bothered to get up early TWICE to consume breakfast. Yep, you read that right. I woke up at 8am, washed up and got dressed and went out for breakfast with a friend. Despite the fact that my impression of the first breakfast mainly consisted of two zombie looking humans sneezing their heads off and trying to fight mosquitoes in the car, it was rather pleasant. :)

And for one of those weeks (where internet, for me, existed in an abundance), I had the most simplest dinner ever. Well, I wouldn't take simple as metaphorical as it can get because considering the distance and weights I have to run and lift to burn the junk of a dinner I had... it's definitely ain't gonna be a simple task. Let's just not get to that. Anyway, a friend had some NSRS (or something like that) vouchers, and we splurged it on junk food. My Yoguru sadly became Yogplait Forme Yogurt - which tastes NOTHING like the Yoguru I wanted. But you know, for the love of junk and companion I was having.. :)

And we also managed to snag a really nice place outside of City Square Mall, overseeing a brightly lit entrance of this mini Christmas carnival. I LOVE IT. They were playing lively Christmas tunes and we both were singing to it, with my friend eating chips, and occasionally throwing a stick or two of chips into my yogurt. It was lovely.

The next few days consisted of work. I love Peek! & I really enjoy working there. Thanks to them, I get to access the internet on their wifi, and type this blogpost (IKR). This is just one of the cosy corners in the store - which at first glance might not look as cosy as it looks. But trust me, it is. You don't really have a choice but to trust me - unless you come by and take a look! Darrell came over last Friday because he ended class early, which made my Friday pretty good.

I FINALLY ATE NAM NAM BREAKFAST!
Met Ryan too early this morning for some breakfast session at NamNam, before heading to work and it's was goooooood. We had this lotus tea that made Ryan reminisce about his NS moments where he got sent to Brunei for some exercise, and the water tasted exactly like this lotus tea. We tried our very best to sip it up - which we did eventually, but with a 'this really tastes like Brunei water!!!' between every one or two sips. We did our best and we know we did our best.

And hi, a selfie because I'm just afraid that the internet will fail me for a excess period of time, and I will actually start to have a legit life with my friends and animals.

Till then!
X
