I read an article from some random indie magazine in class today and I felt like writing this short down. Funny how these scenarios form in my head when I should really be focusing on my project. But first, let me write this out. First draft. I'll come back to this, someday. Or maybe not.

"I'll carry your laptop," he said as he reached his arms out towards her to help with her laptop. Imagine a petite girl, struggling with a backpack, her shoebag and a 15-inch laptop. Anybody alive would have thought of helping her.
However, the strong-headed petite girl replied with a smile, "It's okay, I can handle it. Thanks!" And she continued on with a lyric from a popular dance song, "Girl look at that body, I-I-I work out!"
He looked at her and couldn't help but give her a little smile.
As they walked further on, she struggled a little with her laptop while looking for her wallet. Once again, his strong arms reached out and held on to her laptop without even asking. She felt the weight of the laptop being lifted from her hands, and in that instance, she couldn't help but feel if it was a symbol of something that weighed a little more in life, being lifted from her shoulders.
"It's really okay," she said, heaving a sigh of relief as she recomposed herself from finding her wallet. Damn this laptop. How could this thin piece of aluminium weigh that much anyway.
His brows knitted a little as she rejected him the second time.
"Can you stop saying 'it's okay' when it's clearly not? I know you're Miss Independent and all that, but just let me help you with this." His sudden outburst shocked her a little. Now, they have been friends for quite awhile - so it wasn't like as if she hadn't encountered such a mood change from him. What shocked her was his acknowledgment of her independence. She never knew he would listen to what she would sometimes babble about.
He listened.

She snapped out of her thoughts while on commute. It was a moment of nostalgia as she stepped in to the bus together with him again. She stared gently at the face of this person who listened, the person who knitted his brows when she unintentionally tried to prove her independence, and then shifted her gaze to her laptop that was sitting comfortably on his bag. He now voluntarily snatches the laptop from her, whenever they meet.
Once again, she let her wild mind run off as the both of them sat in a comfortable sofa of silence. She felt so tired from everything that was going on around her. The instability of everything in life was ruining her equilibrium. Sometimes it's just hard to pinpoint what went wrong, and instead, everything might feel better after a good night of rest. And perhaps, instead of thinking that everything can be handled on your own, it'd be nice to have a friend by your side to go through this together. He was like a pillar, a source of strength in her rather unstable life. And it was nice to have something solid lingering around her, offering sound advices that actually made sense - because he knew her a little too well. Their friendship, only a year old, felt like forever.
"Can I buy a bus ride from your life, just so that I can be dependent on someone for just a moment? I just want to sleep without a heavy heart. I mean, don't get me wrong, I just want to lean on something for awhile," She blurted.
The bus jerked and she snapped out from her thoughts. The article that she read earlier on, wasn't lying when they mentioned that females tend to overuse their brain with fancy scenarios that wouldn't happen in real life. She stared at him as he excitedly scrolled through his music library, wanting to share with her this happy song he heard this morning.
He caught her staring blankly at him, and with a nudge, "You okay?"
"Yeah, just tired."
Her weary mind heaved another sigh of relief as her body slouched into itself, with her head propped on her elbow as she rested her arms on the side of the bus window.
"You have no idea."
