Companion matters so much. Good companions always make you feel good about everything else. Companions can be in the form of group, or an individual, and in order for everything to be good, chances are they matter quite a bit to you. I had an awesome companion on Friday, and on Saturday, it was awesome as well - albeit a different kind of awesome. And on Sunday, I had the whole day to myself - which was also very awesome in a wholesome manner (what am I talking about).
Different lights, same kind of warmth. Amidst the unintentional order of humongous portion sizes - then you, now me, I love having breakfast, for dinners especially!
Before we get judged, this was for a school event!
In a gist: The school got us free entry to Zouk on a Saturday night and we partied all the way. While we are always complaining about the insane amount of workload that we have to finish every semester and, after about 1 year into this education, the only thing I look forward to was the semester breaks, thanks for giving us one night to not think about all those academic stuff and let us indulge a little of nightlife.

It was Vertigo - the name of our student's night and it was held at Zouk. Pretty amazing this time round, in fact, so much better than student's night in 2012. Maybe because Butter chased us out after the event ended, but Zouk allowed us to stay throughout.
While I have to reluctantly admit that the place itself is somewhere I wouldn't choose, the companion I had was purr-fecto. I had 2 important worlds of mine combined together - namely Jia & Wei who came after the school event <3, and the Flamingoes - mainly consisted of Joel, Jared, Kristie, Huiyu & Tiff, but we added a few more members last saturday night - Mathisha and OF COURSE CHERYL NG.
That's South Korea, guys. Very thankful that there were no patronisings from the whoever and whatever and wherever.
Anyway, sidetracking, I've been a little too into Justin Timberlake recently, especially with his single 'Mirrors' - I know I'm a little late because I suck at catching up with mainstreamies, but then again it's not like I catch up with the indielakes anyway. I just suck at catching up with new stuff when I get really comfortable with my current playlist. So yes, I told Kristie that it would be awesome and my life would be complete to the extent that I'll just lie in the middle of the dance floor and let people step me to death if there was a remix of JT's Mirrors being played. And before that, I would go up and hug the DJ, and tell him all the wonders of having two of your worlds combined alongside with this song playing.
But neeehhhh, no such luck.
Mathithi, Ja Ja, Kwispy, Hui Hui, CHERYL NG (homaigawd i meese you so much), Ly Ly. |
After the end of Vertigo, Huiyu and I went out for some air and when we came back, we got relegated from our cosy corner to the red room - more affectionately known as the smoking room with our jugs and all. We were waiting for Joel aka Jo, whom I strongly suspect lives in Johor because he took damn long to come over, and Cheryl who came earlier than Jo by a little. So while waiting, what's better than snapping photos to kill time, right? I snapped this photo of Jared aka Ja and everything went crazy from here.
Oh, and this red room really last warning, nearly turned blind while editing the pictures and placing them here. Especially the ones with the lit up "PARTY." I literally see the word PARTY when I look up from the pictures. #cannotmustmaintainlabro
We then tried taking photos the way how some ah lians would take their selfies - from an absolutely ridiculous angle, but we couldn't pull it off. Maybe because design kids don't need any angles to make them look good, we're naturally just good from frontal view, and possibly only frontal view. hahahaha.

I look like one of the characters from The Grudge, but it's okay. I love this two peeps in mai laif. |
This picture above, was the highlight of the night. I wished Kristie and Mathisha was there to witness the crazy shit these 3 did. I just kept laughing non stop from the bridge to the entrance. We went to find Jo to get him in, but we found him already high to the extent he ran into the club, leaving us three. I've lost count of how many squats I did (but it was enough to cost me aches till date) because I was laughing so bad from the crazy antics these people were doing. Ja was damn excited over the fact that Cheryl brought a beer mug out just like this. HY kicked the beer mug and it broke. Ja found a bottle of Apple Barcadi chilling on the fence and was even more excited than seeing Cheryl's mug of beer. HY dropped 5 sticks along the way and she traced her route on her knees to find her sticks. OH and Ja said his ciggs were spoilt because it couldn't light up - but me, being all bob the builder, managed to fix it by flipping the cigg the other way round. He was lighting the filter all the while.
I cannot.
And if you read the above, you are ahmazin' :)
So the fun ends because Nelly Furtado told us that All Good Things Come To An End and it's time to face our workkkkk. But it's okay, I'm sure we're gonna end year two glamorously with a bang. :)
